Fontana Lake Fishing

Robin with catchFontana Lake has more than 240 miles of shoreline and reaches depths of over 400 feet. Its deep, cold waters boast one of the most diverse fish populations anywhere in the country.

It is home to many northern fish such as Walleye, Muskie and Smallmouth Bass. In fact, record size Muskie and Walleye have been pulled from its rocky depths. Many believe it’s one of the best smallmouth bass fishing lakes in the country. Fontana Lake is unique in many ways; shoreline development has been kept to a minimum. More than 90 percent of the land around the lake is owned by either the National Park Service or the US Forest Service, making Fontana Lake a one-of-a-kind fishing and sightseeing experience.

With a lake of such diversity and depth, you never know what you might hook up!
